For day 27 I made a very diluted India ink wash and painted a cityscape at night with white ink over it. I like how it turned out! Naïve and quirky.

From Sketch to Final Water Coloring Stages, this is a spread from Tide Day! A lot goes into making a good composition, taking into account the center of the image where the binding is, and how to play with size and negative space. One of my favorite things to do is explore contrasting expressions between characters and highlight their emotions through physical stances and expressions. This was a tough challenge with the lack of limbs and the watery context, but Pearl's stubbornness and attitude shines through!

Bring out the Sun Moleskine Doodle - March 2014 It seemed as if the dark that year would never end, and by March we saw a glimmer, it was such a relief. Bit like how we feel now.

We are stitched together from fragments—torn edges, scraps, masks. The sketchbook shows only pieces, but grace sees the whole face.

As I reflect on my past experiences, I am accutely aware of how often I have spoken from opinion rather than from experience. I have made mistakes. This makes me think of the Mark Twain quote -"Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement." Let's go out and get some experience, shall we?

Ive always thought Goudrix is an aesthetically pleasing roller coaster, regardless of how it might feel when you ride it. This was drawn with a Japanese fountain pen, Japanese ink, and painted with Japanese watercolor. To be specific - I used Holbein watercolor and Platinum Carbon Black in a Pilot Falcon. This trio is perfect for me.
