Not a whole lot to discuss here except that it took me FRIGGIN FOREVER to get it at least THIS accurate. It is crazy how hard your brain wants to put everything in the wrong place first and then you have to ..correct it? I don't know if I am making any sense lol.
All the faces above have the same blot or cloud as a base. When I am sick of the faces I draw automatically, I make a nice, oddly shaped blot and then look for faces (or whatever) within it. This time I did it digitally so I could see how many different faces I could get out of the same cloud. This time I stopped at thirteen, but I am sure there is more.
I'm usually bad at portraits or drawing faces in general so I decided to practice a bit more and this was the result of my first serious attempt at a portrait drawing using graphite pencils and black fineliners
I have found my new love in playing with the Glass Ink Pen where I can easily achieve specific lines that are hard to make with a regular pen. Here I am working to gain confidence in my permanent line work where I can't erase every second. I am also working to gain experience in cross hatching. which is very difficult.
This is a drawing of a random popstar I made up. His name is Alejandro Bolvaire and he has the voice of Danny Gokey. XD (Danny Gokey is awesome -- give him a listen sometime) Anyway, Alejandro here is mostly crayon, but his hair and shades are colored with brush pens. He has an ink pen outline. Practicing tone with different levels of pencil pressure I found very difficult to do because it requires an immense amount of patience and my hat is off to all of you who have mastered it. ⁀⊙﹏☉⁀
