Just wanted to draw something in between sessions working on Finals. Done in Photoshop CC 2020 with a Noise brush which works nicely like charcoal which I'm used to.
Kangaroos, wallabies, and emus at the zoo with my Sharon Art Studio friend. So nice to create together again! This was from November, when the SF Zoo was still open. I'm really grateful we were able to go several times before it closed again.
Playgrounds were opened in October then closed again the first weekend of December, and then re-opened yesterday! So grateful. This is one of the renovations by SF Rec and Park while they were closed: Alice Chalmers Playground. It's a pretty crazy climb inside (my five year old needed me to help him down the slide). The Q-bert type iceberg things are super cool, too.
Hi! I just now created this page because I have a problem!! I love the idea of drawing (digital, graphite, markers, microns you name it), BUT I never actually get anything finished. It's a curse that has haunted me my entire life. Any good advice on how to stay consistent and follow through with your drawings? This one I've been doodling with Sketchable, using the photo to the left as reference just to eyeball off. I worked on it for a few days and was super inspired and now a year has passed from that (!!!) and It's still in this stage of almost done but I'm struggling with getting back into it..
I asked my husband (who is our Covid-period grocery shopper as I am high risk) to bring home a fruit to draw. He came home with a dragon fruit. For those who don't know this interesting edible, it's from a cactus. There are two species: the Asian species is white inside, the Central American variety is shocking pink (see photo). Great in smoothies or when nicely ripe (as this one was) it's tasty eaten out of the skin with a spoon.
I kind of lied when I said there were only 3 versions of the Altitone animatronics. There are technically four, and these were the first two. They're stored in Jester's workshop. Unlike the V3 and V2 animatronics, the first two sets have red cheeks on the side of their faces that pop out, and contain cameras, instead of the cameras being in their mouth. This was changed, of course. Prototype Elizabeth has one of those police lights in their tail. I thought that would look cool. Jester thought so too, I assume, because he implimented it into Elizabeth. I imagine these guys roaming around in Jester's workshop as he works on them, to keep them from locking up, and all. Also, that is a real cupcake. It is molding on the inside. Can't wait for somebody to make THAT mistake. Drawn with FireAlpaca.
So, the shorter animatronics that I posted earlier were actually the second versions of those animatronics. I redrew them because of... how they looked, I guess. Their proportions were way off. This animatronic is the third version of one of the animatronics, Elizabeth. I was planning on making more of these guys, to update them all, but it takes hours to make these guys, because I also have to make the endoskeleton for them. So, right now, Advanced Elizabeth sits in Jester's workshop, where she'll be alone for as long as I don't make another advanced animatronic. Personally, I think these look a lot nicer, but the second versions (the ones I posted) have a certain charm to them. I'm also working on the right stage animatronics, the red fox and the DJ. At a friend's request I painted a Hydrogen, Hyperdrive... A purple thing one finds among the non-edible salad outside (private message me for horticultural advice)... At least I hope it resembles it :-/
Made with pen, ink pencil and gel pen. Started off as a quick sketch to loosen the cobwebs but turned into a piece that I dived into and developed more of my own style.
