This is a digital drawing of four random characters. The two on the left were totally spontaneous -- meaning they didn't exist until this picture was drawn. Buddy (on the right bottom corner) is one of my recent creations and he's developed into a very loveable character. Ninjo, I've actually known for a long time. She's a crazy gal -- always chopping stuff and crashing through ceilings. Come to think of it.. she's not really like a ninja at all..!
The whole purpose of this drawing was to showcase my skill areas. I'm skilled in people (both male and female), animals, and even inanimate objects.
I got to drop into an outdoor class with my beloved teacher from the studio. A space had finally opened up two weeks before everything in SF shut down again. Well, it was good to see her and my fellow students and be in that setting on a beautiful sunny day. I was also negotiating my next job salary and getting phone calls during class, so I wasn't entirely present. The class topic for the day was palm trees. This is in front of the De Young, another place I was so glad to have visited indoors on another afternoon before the latest lock down.

I've been here for 2 months and somehow I haven't drawn something spiritual. Time to switch from doughnuts to god. This is a drawing of an angel. I think I'm also going to start drawing my stuff like this. Let me know what you think.
The Indescribable Deer Man

I woke up from an afternoon nap on the couch to this pile of clean laundry. My son says it's boring because there's no color! But it's sumi ink, and I've only got watercolor. I've tried it before, and this ink will run. Time to order some colored pencils? Or use my son's markers!
Life gives us too much work sometimes. Here's a minimalistic and simple splash of milk to brighten your day. Pastel colours that softens the image and allows you to feel relaxed. I've been really busy lately. I took a break that was supposed to be a 10 minute doodle break, and this was the result. Well, its the inks of the sketch result. I have no idea if the colors will work the way I intend, but I'll post those after they're finished.
