This is an exterior white paint on an old tarp with a treated lumber frame painting using a photograph taken of my Dad in the Summer of 1979. Dad and I were on the porch playing our guitars while a girl I was dating snapped some photos. I get a sense of Dad's calmness whenever I look at the photo, and now, this painting.
Eren was born and raised in the Shiganshina district located on the southern edge of the Maria Wall. He lived there until 845, when the Titans broke through the wall, leading the way for other Titans to invade and destroy the city. During the incident that day, Eren witnessed his mother being murdered by a laughing Titan. This event aroused in Eren an intense hatred for the Titans, and he vowed to wipe them all from the face of the earth.This photo is protected by my copyright. Two new characters; Ace and Bowie. They work at a casino together, and are best friends. They always wear their masks no matter what, and are so in coordination with each other that they might as well be twins. Or something. Drawn with FireAlpaca.
I find backgrounds in paintings challenging so I deliberately tried to make a more complex background with this one. I sometimes have difficulty deciding when to finish and in this case maybe I overworked the background a bit too much. Still, I feel I learned a lot from the process.
