This was inspired by the artwork of AnneliesDraws. She has an amazing skills with gouache and colored pencils. I don't have gouache paints and so I tried making an illustration using my watercolor paints. I tried increasing the opacity of the watercolor to almost the same as of the gouache paints. I set my eyes on spring onions for the first time in my life after picking up this past Sunday's farm produce box. They were so beautiful! I also found the container of scraps for the compost inspiring as I invented a soup out of my new bounty.

Yeah, that's it.

Chores are taking over

This time last year I was in the midst of starting off my (then) new sketchbook... And what do I find myself doing tonight? Sticking to the same script with yet another one, that’s what!

It started with my lovely daughter was having some bad dreams. She hung this above her head and said it helped so much. "Sweet Dreams" sisser...

Honestly I was just sitting w/ friends and asked for a piece of paper. Sketched this w/ a mechanical pencil (ugh) in about 20-30 min. But just showing something fanciful and beautiful in vastness looking above.

This is my first plant abstract in over six months because college takes up all my time during the school year now. This one was supposed to be more pastel, but the scanner washed out some of the lighter colors.
