Rad experience joining a local drawing group for the first time yesterday although I didn't realise how inconvenient my backpack was going to be, it made me slow to set up / pack up and a few of us had to organise a locker at the gallery as we didn't know backpacks weren't allowed so I spent most of today sewing a bag/sketchbook cover which fits an A4 sketchbook, pencils, id and phone and also has some backing in it so I can easily sketch on my lap without dropping my stuff all over the place. I'm going to do a bit more work on my weird comic book page tonight but in the mean time this is my sea serpent digitally coloured, he lives at Apollo Bay and likes to sleep camouflaged amongst the lifesaver rings.
I created this card for someone to bring to a Law of Attraction event. I drew the flowers on textured paper, came up with the phrase, and then set the type. I am a professional Healer so this phrase is powerful advice I give to others in my practice.
Graphite drawing of Ruth Ellis. She was the last woman in Britain to be hanged, in the 1950s. British justice was no where near as sophisticated then, as it is now. I am convinced that the overwhelming mitigating circumstances would have saved her life. Her confession was never examined or questioned. Today she would have received a manslaughter charge at most. Such a tragedy.

This was the first sketch I ever made. I made it in January of this year. I still can’t believe that it’s been only some four months since I drew this.
This is part of my daily Sketchgrind day 11. That's how I felt when I quit my job working in a highly competitive office job in the financial sector and started to work full time as an artist. 'You ride?!!' they asked, 'Bikes with gear? For real?!' This Artwork is a response to this very common reaction I get as a female rider. Yes, women ride bikes. In fact, ALL types of women can ride bikes. I saw this lady in a Burkha riding an Avenger bike recently, on the highway with her husband riding pillion. So inspiring!
