Turtle, love, doodle

Intuitive painting in acrylic. 61 x 61 cm. Characters evolved as I worked and turned into a somewhat dreamlike composition. My love of colours and composition and the quirkiness of the contents makes this a very entertaining work.

Dolphins again!

A colorful sketch depicts two stone hacienda arches. The bright hues suggest a sunny atmosphere, and through one arch, a serene landscape with trees is visible.

I’m not sure who the artist was who made the original digital version, but I liked the picture and decided I would give it a go. By no means did I come up with the pose or idea I just loved the original and this is my best attempt to do it justice.

Finally had a day to sit and scribble, first day in a long time. It's fast and loose, but I like how it turned out, and I had fun! My reference was a toy squirrel; but, I think love and death are a bit more interesting. Done in Photoshop. This was my sister's first mother's day and I wanted to surprise her with something special. She loves Peter Pan so it seemed like a perfect fit.

Yeah, some more doodles on paper. I guess i started love it... Oh no! My digital drawing!

I found out recently that a good friend of mine's dog passed away. I didn't know how to react so I drew this for her. Ellie was a great dog who loved people and adventures. She's not gone. She's just on a new adventure, making new friends.

I find it awe-inspiring to watch crewed shuttles launch. This 3.5" x 4.5" acrylic on custom tiny canvas captures those first few moments after lift off. I used modeling paste to really emphasize the depth of the dust cloud, and I love that it adds a tactile element to it.

I still haven't had the pleasure of seeing this fascinating phenomenon with my own eyes, but someday I will! I painted this scene because I'm one of those weirdos that loves snow and sees so much beauty in the quiet winter scene. Acrylic on 3.5" x 3.5" on custom tiny canvas.

Random doodle. This one looks like Princess Donut from Dungeon Crawler Carl. This book is the Venn diagram of the books that all of us loved. Super fun.

Happy Earth Day! Today we should reflect on at least one thing we love about our planet. Is it your favorite place in nature to visit? Your favorite animal? A favorite memory from childhood? Now the next step to ask yourself is what part am I playing to preserve our earth? All it takes is one action from you to make a difference. Collectively we will make a difference.
