It's easy to forget the importance of our plants. That is until their life depends on it! I think we have one that needs watering, but then again, maybe it's just thirsty because of those potting supplies and fertilizers! Either way - give 'em a drink; they need their plantitas right now more than ever.
My drawings lately have been more pixelated because I've been drawing on a different software than usual. I've been drawing on aggie.io with my friend, which is where I do most of my drawings because I am otherwise unmotivated. This will be changing soon! I got a new computer with a TV for a monitor! It's way easier to draw and runs much faster.

I was able to find 6b and 8b 2mm leads. So I bought 2 more NIC PRO 2 mm lead holders. They arrived from Amazon today. I wanted to add more tonal depth...but I am not too sure it worked out the way I thought it would. I still need to tighten things up.
The Hive is one of my favorite things to work on in my free time. Though this one's a bit outdated, I haven't drawn the new things that much, so this'll do for now. Will post more about them most likely, I could talk for hours about these guys, lol.

(John 1:5) The darkness has not and will not overcome it, you are in my prayers and God loves you. ^_^ I'm feeling more energy now to draw and study, please pray for me as well, I must pray or else the waves of depression will tear me down. Its been a while. Here is a new one that I have been working on for a few days. Its my first attempt at using graphite powder for the black background. I used a Lyra 9B Graphite Crayon and ground it down myself into powder. Worked really well. I also purchased a Strathmore Series 500 mixed media roll. The amount of high quality paper for the price - it can't be beat. I am excited with this drawing!
I love working with this pencil. Although it is like a watercolor pencil, the tone is much more graphite like and it disolves nicely once I start using a brush. Using more or less water creates nice value range. I'm definitely a fan of this pencil--also comes in a medium and dark wash.
The work was launched on the 5th anniversary of World Reading Day to help people better understand reading.
My artwork is based on the 147-page book "The Sorrow of Books" in simple, harmonious but profound colors. In the picture are the entertainment devices that help relax the everyday human beings that I was inspired by reading. The picture is of the current situation when people are at home trying to prevent COVID 19. We have spent most of our time online, using electronic devices. We have forgotten the presence of books and have made books buried by more advanced things. Books are still something that has a lot of meaning in people's lives because of the fact that we have more useful knowledge.
