(2B pencil on a 139mm x 87mm postcard) A spoof of the old comic-book adverts. It was usually the novelty and joke companies which sold nasty little items that nasty little kids could torment others with. They certainly knew their market well!
For the Asian Tiger Moms out there.
Fierce Eye - one stare and you know you need to behave
Soft colour tone and lots of curve to the body - display of femininity
Clouds - a powerful aura
Vibrant flowers, including a sunflower and a rose, dominate the forefront of the painting with their bright and colorful petals. Light, sketch-like strokes give the piece a playful and dynamic feel, with an array of greens creating a lively backdrop for the blooms.
I find it awe-inspiring to watch crewed shuttles launch. This 3.5" x 4.5" acrylic on custom tiny canvas captures those first few moments after lift off. I used modeling paste to really emphasize the depth of the dust cloud, and I love that it adds a tactile element to it.
When the mood strikes to paint a mermaid with pink hair, it cannot be ignored. I let the shape of the canvas guide me with this one and went with a compass theme, and really like how it ended up. Acrylic on custom 3.5" x 4.5" canvas.
The tiny hex cutouts of this canvas were the inspiration for the turtle, and I chose to put it on a beach as the perfect excuse to have more fun with texture medium! Acrylic on custom 4" x 3.5" hexagon canvas.
Mymble's daughter! I like her so much X0 I don't want to litter everything with a large text here, so I'll tell you about it either in my shitpost, or to someone who will be interested in the character like me:) I'm happy with result! I didn't sweat for nothing. What do you think?:3
"BUTTCHEEKS" The top bookmark is the genuine "Skav Art" piece which was done with a 0.18 technical pen on 110mm x 30mm off-cut card. The one below (the "bottom" one - Heheh!) was a deliberate copy I made of the first and, even though it looks neater, proved to me that those dreaded "processes" do start to creep in. The differences are slight, but they are there. Such processes can mount the further you go with them, until they totally erode the creative energy you originally had. So, it was good to do, even if it does mean I've now got two artworks with the same title!
