new sketchbook

My new ocs, and random sketches

I bought a set of 3 Bic multi-color ballpoint pens, a total of 10 colors including black, and a new sketchbook. Playing around with what colors and effects are possible, I'm excited to do more stuff with these pens. The colors didn't perfectly reproduce between the photo and JPEG compression. But I love how the upper left section is all done with the one dark blue, green, and red pen.

A new sketchbook needs a random doodle page to break it in...

Starting a new sketchbook but that dreaded Blank Page is mocking my hopes and dreams again...seems the only way to beat it is to doodle about it and laugh....")

This is my first doodle in my new sketchbook. The goal: doodle or sketch daily.

Ye know how it is, a brand new sketchbook and a blank white page, at first it's exciting "what am I going to put in here" but that pristine blank white page keeps staring up at you and you start to think "crap! what am I going to put in here?" So I just doodled and put some thoughts down and doodled around that until the whole page was filled with one big doodle... it broke the silence and started the magic...yeah I said it, super cheesy!

The cover is just as important as what's inside. Spent 40 minutes doing this cover. It's always the best part of a new sketchbook!
