How I feel before the first sip... second pic is my daughter’s coffee painting - she seems to have followed her stream of consciousness better than me

The painting is from were I grew up.

I tried to use my imagination for this, but I had to fall back on photo reference, to finish it. THe problem with the composition is I did not use a background colour. I did this about 3 years ago. Their are mountains in the background.

From the body of work entitledLabours Of The Land, Work Can Bring Peace To The Day.

This landscape is a finished work, and is designed to relax those who are weighed down by work.It is of an Irish Berry Field. I did it mostly from imagination, but I did use some photo reference to get the background right.

Forest Of Pycosis

When you are in this forest, you are lost, until the sun rises again to show the path out of madness. This was one of the first large paintings, that I completed. Its a strange thing because when I was painting it, i distorted the horizon line. The line should be level by right.

A Study of Jean-Michel Basquiats work

This is a quick study of a work by the famous painter from New York. I need to improve my art because at the moment I am not turning out good pieces. You know, we never see the early art that the great artists did. I am not critising the famous artists for their early work, but the public never see the progress that Van Gogh or Picasso made in their early years. It gives the impression that they just sarted out as great artists, which is not the case.I did this study purely as an educational endevor.

Gladator/now we are free

This is inspired from the the soundtrack to Gladator the film. Its about how most people will end up in some kind of Colosseum, metaphorically speaking. Life will throw at us many problems. A sketch for a body of work. The black cross is a sword buried in the ground. Maybe its a symbol of peace.
