This is the result of a 5 colour challenge on Instagram. Done with alcohol markers (no special brand, 1€ a piece) on marker paper.

I came up with the shapes through scribbling and went from there. Colored pencil on sketch paper.

As usual I struggled to get a true likeness, but that notwithstanding, I was still pleased with the result. HB, 5B and 9B graphite pencils on smooth cartridge drawing paper, size A3.

The cheapest blue ball pen and regular printer paper.

Ink and brushpen on sketching paper. A5

(2B pencil on 178mm x 114mm paper) An image of a line of shadowy figures, all chained together, going hopelessly and reluctantly in the same direction. Above them is a wisp of some scent or sound that was never meant for them.

A leaf skeleton, and torn muslin. Used for making a gel print. Gold acrylic paint on black paper. ( yes I did take the leaf off).

Elias Rosenshaw 2/19/2021 Pen & coloured pencil on paper

I got a pack of loose watercolour paper from eBay in 2018. The side this was painted on had a really strange pitted texture on it. I thought it might be interesting but I didn't like the way the paint gathered in the pits. I just use it for sketching and testing colours these days.
