Here it is! The 4th Glorious Mystery: The Assumption of Our Blessed Mama, Body and Soul, into Heaven. I studied some icons on the dormition of our lady in order to get some ideas for this one. In the Icons Jesus is holding the Soul of Our Lady. Just as she bore him and held Him as a child so now Jesus holds her and brings her into heaven. Then you can see her assumed body above. Oh and according to ancient tradition all the apostles were brought together for this event. "Henceforth all generations will call me blessed; for he who is mighty has done great things for me" (Lk 1:48-49). "The Most Blessed Virgin Mary, when the course of her earthly life was completed, was taken up body and soul into the glory of heaven, where she already shares in the glory of her Son's Resurrection, anticipating the resurrection of all members of his Body" (CCC, 974). First Sorrowful Mystery: The agony in the Garden. The Angel is dressed in black because it is fortelling his death and the chalice is like a bitter black liquid. Jesus suffered such agony in the Garden of Gethsenami that it would have been enough to save us all but he wanted to give an abundance of graces and spiritual gifts for our salvation by suffering for us all possible pains we could experience. So that even pain can bear fruit in our lives. "Then Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, 'Sit here, while I go yonder and pray.' And taking with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to be sorrowful and troubled. Then he said to them, 'My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and watch with me.' And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, 'My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will"' (Mt 26:36-39). "Such a battle and such a victory become possible only through prayer. It is by his prayer that Jesus vanquishes the Tempter, both at the outset of his public mission and in the ultimate struggle of his agony" (CCC, 2849). I love this design pattern. It gives a feminine touch...a fresh and clean feel. It’s uniform and repetitive pattern gives it a functional flow as well as an elegant look. I used familiar shapes in a way to make a statement of agreement. I love the background as well. It’s white and lightly smeared to give it a more stylish look. Also, the background is a subtle lattice style to add more sophistication.

Jesus gives the great gift of Himself in the 5th and last Luminous Mystery: The Institution of the Eucharist. This is the Sacrament in which in chapter 6 of the Gospel says: "unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you shall not have life in you" to this statement in John 6:66 "After this many of his disciples went back; and walked no more with him". Indeed it is a hard saying to accept but Jesus was firm "67: Jesus said to the twelve, 'Do you also wish to go away?' 68: Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life; 69: and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God." Let us accept Jesus' great gift in the one and only Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and if we can't make it for whatever reason let us pray the Holy Spirit to dwell more fully in our hearts and enkindle our Souls in the Love and the Peace of God. And here it is: The Transfiguration! in color ^_^ Elijah and Moses with Jesus and the Apostles from left to right: James the Greater, John and Peter. I have his stigmata in gold because we hadn't recieved the wounds yet but this vision is a big revelation and confirmation of His divinity and mission so I put some signs there, but the apostles would not yet understand, but after they would. Matthew 17: 1-9 [1] And after six days Jesus taketh unto him Peter and James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into a high mountain apart: [2] And he was transfigured before them. And his face did shine as the sun: and his garments became white as snow. [3] And behold there appeared to them Moses and Elias talking with him. [4] And Peter answering, said to Jesus: Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles, one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. [5] And as he was yet speaking, behold a bright cloud overshadowed them. And lo, a voice out of the cloud, saying: This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased: hear ye him. [6] And the disciples hearing, fell upon their face, and were very much afraid. [7] And Jesus came and touched them: and said to them, Arise, and fear not. [8] And they lifting up their eyes saw no one but only Jesus. [9] And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying: Tell the vision to no man, till the Son of man be risen from the dead.

This is a t-shirt design I did for Vintage Pet Rescue of one of their residents, Violet, who loves eating poop. I used Copic Multiliner SPs and Prismacolor pencils.

This was my first sumi ink artwork I made for my introduction to art class a few years ago. I used a bamboo reed pen to make this design. It depicts a puppet cutting the strings and liberating herself! I hope you like my artwork!
