Water color pencils in a monotone piece of shades of pink. This was pretty hard considering I didn't have any magenta or hot pink hues. I had to create them and it was a pleasure. This was inspired from one of the artist's Grimes cover art.
The pink flower vine butterfly is inspired by a a mailbox I walked by during my lunch break. These vibrant pink flowers were wrapped around the entire box. I thought 'what a romantic way to receive your mail.'.
Yet another plant abstract. This one was built around the red outlined flower in the semi-center, and that’s where it gets its name. Colored pencil and pen on paper.
Had fun trying to capture this. Someday I'll figure out how to get the watercolor gradient I want. Meanwhile this was a fun way to practice and I freaking love these Daniel Smith watercolors. I definitely need to get some full tubes of certain colors. (Moonflower, Lunar Violet, Opera Pink, Cerulean Blue, all the Cobalts, i think all the Primateks - I haven't tried them all yet... *Sigh*)
So, this is a redraw of what I thought pink diamond would look like before her canon design appeared. But, redrawing it made me think it related more to the goddess of spring
