"Potato digger", watercolour and ink on paper, 210mm x 148mm(A5). Tiny painting made on my break from a bigger project I'm working on. The whole thing sprouted from a sketch of my small potato plant. I like the notion of Poison Ivy from Batman being a sort of vengeful Mother Earth. I sometimes wish Mother Earth would give us the smackdown. We deserve it.

My sketchbook spread. This is actually a moleskin watercolor album which I'm mostly using to draw from life. This is sharp and spiky versus soft and fluffy. The models were the two of my house plants, and aim was a texture and light study.
