Haven't gotten much drawing done of late. Feels good to be putting charcoal to paper again.

She fell from the sky, the girl from no where.

River painted the background and I painted him into his picture.

An oil portrait painting of fellow I knew in Victoria, B.C.

Done mostly with oil bar, this is more akin to a sketch than a painting. It's great when you can get loose with the process and end up with something that looks like a finished work.

Portraits of brothers. This time ordered from Germany. Dry pastel, charcoal on gray paper 30x40cm.

Playing with faces is fun and I can see where this might actually suggest some kind of meaning, although I can't yet put my finger on it.

A fun experiment. I wonder what this would like in full colour.

Tyto Strix is a northern nobleman and scout heir to the marches along a hotly contested border. His eyes are almost like black coal and his unruly hair is an ice blonde complimenting the wintery steppes that he calls home.
