Inktober Day 15 - Legend

Legends and folklore is huge in Game of Thrones book series, one in particular is the legend of ‘Azor Ahai’, the warrior who drove the darkness away with his sword Lightbringer. How he forged the sword to bring the end in darkness was by plunging it into his wife’s heart. her soul and the hot blade created Lightbringer. A new ‘Azor Ahai’ was supposed to come again and many believe it to be either Daenerys Targaryen or Jon Snow. - I think end the end it’s Jon Snow if the prophecies were interpreted this way- the ‘long night’ being Daenerys mad reign. Run and fail

In 2017, I tried the Inktober challenge and failed miserably. I made two drawings, no inking. This one was supposed to illustrate the word "swift" for the first day, but it fit better with the word of the 11th day "run". Anyway, I really ran that day and I drew that with my sore muscles and my body filled with pain. The doodle in my sketchbook was messy, so I redraw it.

En ce qui me concerne, j’utilise l’œuvre célèbre d’un artiste reconnu. En réutilisant une œuvre originale préexistante et célèbre, condition sine qua non, je propose de rendre un hommage. Il ne s’agit en aucun cas d’un manque d’inspiration surtout lorsque l’on sait maintenant que : « l’art naît de l’art et non de la nature » : Ernst Gombrich. Dans cette série, j’ai voulu revisiter des œuvres célèbres en utilisant ma technique graphique de l’éloge de l’approximation mettant en évidence la problématique de la défaillance et de la mémoire vaporeuse. What does not exist in those photos, is how they may make us feel. This is why you won’t see any “realism” in my art. When we send astronauts to space, they can discuss factually what is happening, but what truly moves human beings is when astronauts describe how they felt while they were there. So, I choose to express how I feel, as opposed to illustrate what I see.

Goudrix Landscape

Ive always thought Goudrix is an aesthetically pleasing roller coaster, regardless of how it might feel when you ride it. I love roller coasters and design layouts in No Limits 2, but I've never composed one. This is my attempt using oil brushes in Rebelle. I wanted it to have a traditional vibe. I generally make marks on something every day, but I'm really TRYING to do it purposefully in one single journal at a time. I also have super ADHD, which means I pretty much never go up to my actual studio and usually only use what's out on my desk, because out-of-sight-out-of-mind.
