Oh how I miss using watercolour again! Been awhile since the last time I used this medium because now I draw with digital technique more often than the traditional ones.

For all the cat lovers and night owls of the world. Prints for sale @ etsy.com/shop/DrawingsByLucia.

I met my wife in 8th grade. Over 20 years later I still get 8th grade thoughts trying to impress her.

“I think trying to be creative, keeing busy, has a lot to do with keeping you alive.” - Willie Nelson.

"If there are things that haven’t aged well, I’d be grateful if you laugh them off with a forgiving heart.” - Hirokazu Hikawa.

An education…?

A right mixture as always!

A goose plus a croissant. Don’t feed wild animals pls

Nobby mouse from Doctor Snuggles, legendary old cartoon. Watercolors and ink pen on A5.

Couldn’t end the current sketchbook without a narwhal! And goblin critters too…

Narwhals in surreal lands… what else?

Happy Pokemon Day!

Return of the hammerheads!

“Most things benefit from contrast. The exception is the truth.” ~Golgaaryol, 2025. (Koh-I-Noor and Bambino crayons)

First commission of the year in progress — inspired by my mural in Bristol, for a couple from the neighbourhood who walk by the mural nearly every day

Ink work

I turned 33. Of course I spent it arting :-)

And that’s a wrap from this current sketchbook! Closing things with some Peter Falk wisdom I’ve shared before, I think… “My idea of Heaven is to wake up, have a good breakfast, and spend the rest of the day drawing.”

A passage from Nick Cave’s Red Hand Files struck a chord with me… “I’m worried my thoughts might slip away, as with a dream.”

Whale songs yet again :-)
