I drew this wedding scenery just to see what the heart would come up with. I don’t have any wedding planning experience. If I did I’d probably have some over the top idea that I could use in my drawings...but I don’t so here it is.
Inspired by a little rabbit I've seen from the car one morning. While I was driving, the little bunny was hopping along the countryside. I was a a very peaceful and happy scene, the little guy living in its own little world, of which I only could get this one quick glimpse. All the other details remain to imagination..... A bit of a departure from my usual style. I wanted to try something a bit messy, fast, and loose. The scene is an ancient woodland in Pembrokeshire called Tŷ Canol, an atmospheric place and full of inspiration for artworks. Pen and watercolour in Seawhite sketchbook.
I started sketching a scene and thought "I'm not that good at drawing trees", so rather than do an entire scene, I thought I'd have a go at a single tree as an exercise. In hindsight I used too thick a pen. Time to break out the 0.1 pens for future sketches.
Gwenffrwd-Dinas is an RSPB nature reserve out in the wilds of mid-Wales. You could easily miss it driving past, but if you do park up, you're treated to some gorgeous scenery. Here the river Tywi (the longest in Wales) flows past the wooded riverbank then through a rocky gorge on its way down to Carmarthen. Pen and watercolour on watercolour paper (6x8").
Life is like a long journey. You see the final scene at the end, which is death. I have often fancied that if I had experienced so much in my life, I would be happy even to go to death.
I was expirimenting with lighting, and it kind of ended up looking like she was staring into a campfire. That, combined with the puffy jacket, and it turned into a camping scene. Always open to feedback, thanks!
This little book had several tiny squares/rectangles per page. At first I didn't know how to fill it (2017). Eventually I sketched trees, scenes, birds, animals I'd seen during a days walk. It accidentally became a diary of seasons! Not all my art is nature sketching, I'm a watercolor artist as well. But line and pen drawing, halftone is what I've been up to for a while.
I did this sketch a while ago, but it still holds up. These two (Richard Dixon left, Asher Dixon right) are brothers, who have two very well-off parents. They live in a five story mansion, but still go to a public school because of where they live. They're both blond, but Richard dyes his hair purple.
Fun with gouache! While I was painting this, I learned that "scumble"/"scumbling" are words used to describe the action of dry brush painting, so my detective's name is Scumbles.
This artwork is not really mine as I drew it from a tutorial, but I love the way the pink comes out in every way possible. I hope you too like this pinkish scenery ;)
One day on the way home from my Nana's house, I noticed that the sunset showed every color of the rainbow. It reminded me of God's promise to Noah after the great flood. As I began to draw the scene I thought about how that promise just fills the world with His love and mercy. Anyway, that was the idea for the title.
This is a drawing of Walnut Cookie (from Cookie Run: Ovenbreak game) with a custom suit I designed. She's on her way to investigate a crime scene (probably)
Meatz, the chubby and his unnamed human companion. Brought before the evil necromancer queen of the war faeres. Their fate is that of the other captives in this time of war. They are sent into the slave pits to work and die.
