I genuinely can't believe it's already March (I also can't believe it'll be a year since the pandemic really started). Yesterday also marked one year since I started journaling, which isn't an actual major thing, but still. How quickly time flies and how big of a difference a year can make. The only problem was that they didn't speak any English. They did know some French and armed with French-English phrasebook, dictionaries and enthusiasm they brought forth this book. Mark Twain was an early admirer of this book. I finally finished it!made on Autodesk Sketchbook!I finally drew a goose wearing a clown costume!just in time for Halloween!Im surprised to not see any drawings of geese dressed up as clowns it's usually dogs and cats but since I love birds such as chickens and ducks,I had to draw a goose.im very happy how it turned out to be considering I'm still using my phone to draw.
Finally started back on a regular sketch schedule. Once a week on Thursdays, and I really look forward to it. I tried to tone down the orange marker with brown ink, but no luck. It really was a bright and sunny fence, though.
I feel lop eared dogs are so cute these days. And I realized my dog got a lot of ribbons from his groomer (She give my dog a lovely ribbon every time we go and I really like it so keep them). Then, I drew this. I want one more dog or a cat...

This is bear 148 - she lived in the bow valley and was relocated several times, but a hunter got the better of her (she still had her tracking collar on) - this is an homage to the animals that are lost to us.
One of the scariest characters I've ever seen. The most frightening of the vampires from the movie "Fright Night" (1985). I had to draw her as a form of therapy. Thumbs-up for the art department on that movie! If she had had white eyes instead of the red eyes in the movie, I would've been irreparably damaged! :) (Pencil on paper, size A4).

So busy and overwhelmed lately. I think this is the first time I've gotten to draw in a few weeks. The rattlesnake plant and funny bird plant nanny in our den. I am really missing being in a weekly art class. Have you found any good online ones?
I started this drawing yesterday, and I finished up the sketch today. (The second image is the reference.) I wanted to get some feedback on the sketch before I colored it in. I'm pretty happy with how it turned turned out. Anything I should tweak before continuing?
I used a reference to draw this scenery. In the reference there was so many details that I really wanted to capture it. I even wanted to capture the details in the bride’s wedding dress. I think the groom looks quite handsome in blue (it’s HIS color as some people might say). I incorporated the long, beaded line under the bushels of flowers (just another element to add to an already beautiful scene). Also, as you can see, I added an audience watching the couple as they have their picture taken. The flowers spread along the table with the view of the wavy waters right behind them looks so refreshing. Every element served its purpose for the ultimate “moment to remember” feeling. One of my favorite things about this drawing is the string lights. It’s one of the smallest items to have, but they add character and charm to the scenery. The string lights give a romantic feel and is even more gorgeous at night. I enjoyed doing this drawing so much that I anticipated the second I’d be finished with it.
