sketch

I´ve been meaning to draw a graphic novel for some time. I just can´t decide on the style. :) Or is it just procrastination?

Portrait of an old fisherman sketched with ink and coffee wash. Trying to experiment with some different styles and techniques.

This is a concept sketch that i might use on a bigger piece, it has a bit more to the design that ive added on to the top of the sketch as i was playing around with different ideas and angles to look at things. i love playing around with different symbols and markings that are quite tribal and almost mystical giving a depiction of mother earth or something shamanic also playing around with the vines and branches in the hair was a cool concept.

Cat I painted on the second day of August Wren's 31 days of animals on Creativebug.

a little floral update of this girl sketch

Toys used to be so much cooler back in the day. I realize this makes me sound like a very old nerd. I also realize that I AM a very old nerd. So there's that.

A little doodle of Sherlock & John. Secretly wishing I could be as genius as Sherlock. LOL

Watercolour doodle in my Moleskine sketchbook. Flower pots in different shapes, sizes and colors.

Following the daily painting challenge with Lisa Congdon over at CreativeBug though I haven't quite managed to keep up daily. Still, it's wonderful picking the brush up again and splashing around with paint!
