sketching

Day 1 of the #sketchingforux100 challenge. The goal is to build a visual library by sketching concepts daily.

There was a day that I was in the mood to draw a lot of flowers and I did! I hope you like this one.

Just a little sketch I did yesterday night—I’ll color it later.

Drawing sketch of a character im working on, it is an image monster that can manipulate reality

A cute commission boi! Check out the finished: https://www.deviantart.com/dallyvanters/art/Commission-14-785811510

Portrait sketch in progress. Using the grid system to assist me with proportions. Using just a pencil for sketching and shading.

"Dementors are among the foulest creatures that walk this earth. They infect the darkest, filthiest places, they glory in decay and despair, they drain peace, hope, and happiness out of the air around them." - J.K. Rowling

This is one of my favorite pieces. This was inspired by Repo! The Genetic Opera, but it means a lot more to me as well. Feelings of desperation and also a feeling of self control that really isn't there. Forcing myself to smile and all the while, feeling hollow inside.

The amount of erasing I've had to do in this digital sketch would have turned real paper into dust. I had so much trouble nailing down what I wanted, but I've got the beginning framework and I'm so relieved to have it out of my head.

Loved the idea of sketching a band... and that band being made up of fantasy creatures.
