I made this a week ago when i was thinking about fond school memories I had when I was much more younger,it makes me feel sad and nostalgic how those days are long gone, where I use to had fun in the playground, when I use watch movies in class along with the teacher last but not least when I use to go to field trips, Sidney's outfit is based on an actual outfit I had worn when I was in the 5th grade
Another page from my sketchbook. I'm spending the week leaning into new ways of considering spirituality to take forward into the new world post COVID.
Ichthyornis is an extinct genus of toothed seabird-like ornithuran from the late Cretaceous period of North America. Ichthyornis meaning "fish bird", after its fish-like vertebrae. More like this on: https://www.instagram.com/camilojulianc/
I started this drawing yesterday, and I finished up the sketch today. (The second image is the reference.) I wanted to get some feedback on the sketch before I colored it in. I'm pretty happy with how it turned turned out. Anything I should tweak before continuing?
These are some of the first paintings I ever did. I did them about 2 years ago. I've done more since but these will always be special to me since they were my first try using acrylic
I've discovered some great jazz whilst working from home. I guess it's an age thing? Get to middle age and you're bang into jazz. I started off making some free hand lettering which quickly turned into me doodling the names of my favourite musicians. Might develop this into a poster, what do you reckon? Mmmm jazz, nice!
I used a reference to draw this scenery. In the reference there was so many details that I really wanted to capture it. I even wanted to capture the details in the bride’s wedding dress. I think the groom looks quite handsome in blue (it’s HIS color as some people might say). I incorporated the long, beaded line under the bushels of flowers (just another element to add to an already beautiful scene). Also, as you can see, I added an audience watching the couple as they have their picture taken. The flowers spread along the table with the view of the wavy waters right behind them looks so refreshing. Every element served its purpose for the ultimate “moment to remember” feeling. One of my favorite things about this drawing is the string lights. It’s one of the smallest items to have, but they add character and charm to the scenery. The string lights give a romantic feel and is even more gorgeous at night. I enjoyed doing this drawing so much that I anticipated the second I’d be finished with it.
