Filtered digital collage of photography, digital patterns, pixel art, and pen & pencil on paper.
Text paraphrased from my friend Lydia.
Drawings are studies of statues I photographed:
Horse's Head, The Parthenon Sculptures, The British Museum, London, UK
The Bassai Sculptures, The British Museum, London, UK
So the one on the bottom was the first one that I did (sorry it is so blurry), the one on the left was the second one, and the third one I did was on the right. I am sorry about the camera quality. The first two were from references then the third was without a reference and I started to get lazy xD.
I haven't posted for awhile. The only thing I seem to be able to do right now, besides boring traditional student work (does anyone really want to see endless figure studies? I think not) is this weird graphic Journal. It may be the only thing I do for awhile here.
This is from daily practice. I'm trying to get better pencil control and find a language that describes what's in front of me in a few clean lines, so gesture practice is important for me
Mermay Day 17: Show and Tell - watercolor - i imagine her dad was a human. so for show and tell shes showing what humans wear to school.
FYI: orange hair does not pay attention in human studies AT all.....
Some shoulder studies using a statue by Borromini. The muscles on this guy were bizarre and somehow still anatomically correct. Medium: Charcoal on Newsprint Time: 30 min x 3
