Finally started back on a regular sketch schedule. Once a week on Thursdays, and I really look forward to it. I tried to tone down the orange marker with brown ink, but no luck. It really was a bright and sunny fence, though.

You will see a lot of faces, faces are an issue for me. Hence a lot of faces..

Pen and ink with colored pencils -Slightly sunburned, Fairy Maple took to doing her round at night. That is when she found Everett, the snail.

AUTUMN SUNSET

Inktober 2020, Day 13: "Dune". After pondering for a while, whether I should come up with something surprising, I decided to go with what for me is the obvious association, the sci-fi book. I based it on this illustration of a sandworm (https://dune.fandom.com/wiki/Sandworm?file=Dune-sandworm.jpg) by Nathan Rosario. It’s not meant to promote the now postponed new movie, but rather based on the books by Frank Herbert, which I loved as a teenager. Brushpens and posca markers on coloured A4, this time with an acrylic underpainting (falling back on my painterly ways). “I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”

I was scared of cows when I was small and felt nothing special after I grew up, but I realized how they are cute when I traveled in Laos. I was so surprised to see cows were walking freely without any human on a quiet street in the outskirts of the city. A calf one of them looked us curiously but avoided eye contact shyly. It was really cute

Superstitions: Spiders. So I'm a little behind the curve, but here's my day 1 for Inktober. This was my first time using my fountain pen for drawing, so I can't complain too much. There's definitely some room to grow. Lined with a TWSBI Eco: fine nib with Organics Studio Walden ink on Tomoe River paper. I'm a sucker for sheen, what can I say. The sad attempt at shading was done with a wet paper towel, so I'm guessing I could try upgrading my technique there ;D

Superstitions: Skull. It was claimed in Ireland for many years that if a man took an oath on a skull and was lying as he did so, he would be struck dead soon thereafter. * Maybe we should bring that back and make politicians swear on the skulls of those who lied and died. I'm continuing my lax inktober with entry 04 radio and 05 blade. This is my take on Alastor from hazbin hotel. I don't usually do fanart but I've been enjoying the characters in this world too much not to draw them. These were drawn with Pen and alcohol markers

My sister and I found this great ATLA fanart online where none of the characters had any faces. We then downloaded it to her computer and opened it in some cool software on her computer where we gave them faces. We are ATLA fans, so please don't take this as an insult to Team Avatar; it's only a joke.
