I haven't posted for awhile. The only thing I seem to be able to do right now, besides boring traditional student work (does anyone really want to see endless figure studies? I think not) is this weird graphic Journal. It may be the only thing I do for awhile here.
Sketching expression is important to me. I think this one succeeded. More often I miss the mark. Guess that is the price paid for sticking with art through thick and thin.
This is a drawing of the fruit market here at St Lawrence Fruit Market. It happens every weekend, everyone is wearing mask which has become the norm, but one day we won’t have to be masked, and we can see strangers faces again.
One of the rare times when my son draws for long enough for me to get one in, too. This was while we were waiting for our lunch at an outdoor table when that was still allowed.
(HB pencil on 130mm x 120mm paper) With pandemic lockdowns happening all the time, it's created something of a Victorian feel to Christmas, so it was no surprise that I drew this for the Christmas cards I do at this time of year, along with a very odd version of a round-robin message attached to it. You can read it here: https://www.skavart.co.uk/2020/12/merry-christmas-2020-round-robin.html
Merry Christmas, everybody! I hope all of you have very happy holidays --- whether you celebrate Christmas, or Hanukkah, or anything of the sorts. Have a sweet little kitten!
I just got a drawing tablet this is the first thing I drew on it. I wanted to share it to show the progress I make in the future. It feels a lot different from drawing on paper. I clearly have a lot of improving to do.
The first version of Dellusion to ever exist. He typically sings somber music, like "Hidden in the Sand" by Tally Hall or "Cry Me a River" by Julie London (both of which you should check out). He's actually quite shy, and likes small crowds. Merry Christmas Eve! Drawn with FireAlpaca.
know halloween was almost 3 months ago but this is a old drawing i did on November only to not finish it until now featuring Morrison,Vance and Sidney.I just added the words on the left and right and some dots on each corner to make it look less boring (all of my drawings are boring anyway lol)I added Celebrate because not only does it apply to Halloween but Christmas too (where my parents are from,we celebrate it on the 24th on December)I almost forgotten about the teens already since Im almost busy else where or drawing other OC's but Morrison is still difficult to draw nonetheless. In their world there is no trick or treating or candy eating but pulling pranks and scaring the most people to win prizes while dressing up.It was my first time drawing them on a tablet so of course this doesn't look decent.
“Whirlwind 4”, an original drawing. Micron pens on archival paper. Size: 6” x 4”. Title, signature and date in the back of the drawing. This drawing is the 4th in a series of drawings that were posted over a period of 100 days. The original post date on this drawing was September 4, 2020.
