Progression 2 of 6. Spent some time here in the hair, beard, and eye. The transition in the hair from light to dark was done mainly by not adding in graphite in heavy amounts and using the pencil eraser to define the hair.

I like wearing winter clothes

Drawing homes is my new form of meditation. I get lost in building the structure slowly, line after line. I could do this forever...

This sketchbook spread features a stylized pattern of colorful poppy flowers. The garden of flowers includes leaves of green, yellow and peach. The flowers are yellow with blue stems. The drawing as a whole has a whimsical and playful feel with a bright color scheme, polka dots and organic squiggle shapes, and blobs of seemingly random colors. I think we're doomed

Here is the finished book. I wrote some of my own poetry on the pages and also some excerpts from the original book.

This was a practice sketch to try out a sketchbook I bought from the dollar store. The paper is surprisingly of excellent quality and she came out looking great!

Yesterday, I was drawing during the Metropolitan Opera's daily streaming. My husband, Mike came by and looked dumbfounded. "Samson and Delilah inspired THIS subject matter?" Walked off shaking his head. We have a good laugh!
