A quick group portrait I made to try making a timelapse of the process. The timelapse is posted to my instagram account. This time, I used brown and yellow bister ink on watercolor paper. Normally I paint the monsters themselfves, but now I used negative painting to create them.
I got to drop into an outdoor class with my beloved teacher from the studio. A space had finally opened up two weeks before everything in SF shut down again. Well, it was good to see her and my fellow students and be in that setting on a beautiful sunny day. I was also negotiating my next job salary and getting phone calls during class, so I wasn't entirely present. The class topic for the day was palm trees. This is in front of the De Young, another place I was so glad to have visited indoors on another afternoon before the latest lock down.
Marker, and colored pencil on paper. My partner bought me some fancy markers that have been really fun to play with. I'm thinking about making this image into a greeting card.
Another icon or logo of Jester's restaurant, "Ringmaster's Pizza Hall". This one is more sinister, and looks more like a FNaF teaser, especially for Sister Location. Though the Altitone animatronics were based off of the funtime's designs, the resemblance between Jester and Ennard is completely coincidental --- but I've kind of embraced it now. An animatronic I made in Minecraft --- I know it sounds a little cringe, but I constantly build pizzerias, add armor stands to act as animatronics, and make a FNaF map. I'd then invite friends and have them sit in the office, while I move the armor stands. This animatronic is named "Dijon", sort of like the mustard. I only drew Dijon, but there's another animatronic, "Dijona", who has a lighter suit color. These guys are sort of like the Fredbear and Spring bonnie of the pizzerias I've made. One of the rare times when my son draws for long enough for me to get one in, too. This was while we were waiting for our lunch at an outdoor table when that was still allowed.
I know this isn't an elaborate piece and I know I've posted different cards before, but I just wanted to wish everyone a merry Christmas and happy holidays!
