Abstract geometric artwork

This is a new series of contemporary paper collages realised using a mix and match of new and vintage paper. I used: • Vintage paper ephemera (old postcards, paper cuts, portraits) • Recycled paper from envelopes • Brand new paper cuts • For the decorations I mostly used marker pens, stickers and washi tape.

I drew some dogs on commission for a friend (the simpler Corgis), then wound up messing around after I'd scanned them. Dogs dogs dogs. As far as the snout can sniff.

Pencil first. Outlined with ultrafine marker. Started in the middle then grew from there. At first look, I did not like it, but it has grown on me after outlining with markers. Still debating colors.

This is my illustration of the Mad Hatter, based on the Tim Burton interpretation; it was created for a recent blog post. Everything was drawn by hand on white cardstock, using illustration pens, except for the background (which was created by scanning a specific craft paper pattern). This is a picture that I drew with someone with a bow and it says Smile at the top. The rainbow and all the color is to show happiness.

This is a simple portrail of a common person, not the appearance of a person, the Innerworkings of a person. Their dark side. We all have a dark side.. Some are just more controlled by it than others.

Day 1: yourself. This is my personal project #DoodleWithRin365 that I am working now. It is a journey of self development in creativity and encourage myself to explore as many things as possible. I have focused a lot in detailed architecture last 2 years and really enjoyed those crazy detail lines. This year, I would like to explore something different. In this project, I decide on those themes by myself which will be included things I like and also things that I have never tried before but would like to know more. Back to my works here, I used Pilot new brush pen to completed the outline on my sketchbook and the wording with tablet. For second version, I used my real lipstick for lips :)
