Sketching expression is important to me. I think this one succeeded. More often I miss the mark. Guess that is the price paid for sticking with art through thick and thin.
This is a drawing of the fruit market here at St Lawrence Fruit Market. It happens every weekend, everyone is wearing mask which has become the norm, but one day we won’t have to be masked, and we can see strangers faces again.
(HB pencil on 130mm x 120mm paper) With pandemic lockdowns happening all the time, it's created something of a Victorian feel to Christmas, so it was no surprise that I drew this for the Christmas cards I do at this time of year, along with a very odd version of a round-robin message attached to it. I know this isn't an elaborate piece and I know I've posted different cards before, but I just wanted to wish everyone a merry Christmas and happy holidays! I hope everyone is doing well and can enjoy the time left in 2020. Thank you for being so supportive of my art, and for sharing some of the most incredible art I've ever seen!
