This is one of my Helsinki street style illustrations. On the streets I see fab styles. I’m saving the looks to my mind. Later on I draw them. My blog Flash For Zonzon is about streetstyle Helsinki illustrations.

Street Style Helsinki. When I went to the city by bus 65, this lovely redhead sat opposite to me. Divine red hair flows under the good mood hat with small cute ears. What more? You can image the rest in your mind.

"The Tree People" finished line work. Pen = Sailor Pro Gear, EF nib. Pilot Black ink. I love this ink... if only it was waterproof. Works well with markers though.

It's not shown in this drawing, but seconds later the trees ate all these people.

A botanical explosion to celebrate Mother Nature in all her floral glory! Drawn in pen and ink and really therapeutic to do!

This was part of a bigger study I'm currently in the midst of, with landscapes, water reflections and pinetrees for miles. Any and all feedback is very much appreciated.

The Gloomy Mood of Ah Mei on a Sunny Day from Dialogues in Paradise by Can Xue. Da-Gou is playing with firecrackers at the other side of the yard. He inserts one into a hole in the tree and sticks out his big hips as he bends over to light it. His bottom is huge, like his father's. "Hey," I call. "Are you crazy? The kids jump, and call, and send koo wees up to the koo wee sky! When I draw happy characters like this I find myself smiling and I don't even realize it. I hope that happiness comes through in the art. - From "Graham's Up the Tree"

There's a phone in Graham's Up the Tree and kids will have no clue what they're looking at or how those "buttons" work.

Just playing with lines and pens

Graham's Up the Tree! ("and there's nowhere else he can go!") - my 4 year old ran around the house for weeks misquoting the story with his own interpretation of an Australian accent. Calling it out over, and over, and over again.
