Have been so sick lately, wish i could explain to my body what a waste of time that is. Luckily i have friends checking up on me, and they brought me all sorts of nice things: orange juice, flowers, chocolate, the largest banana i ever seen.... and then i realized i live in a city, and food delievery is an option! So four times i got the most delicious junk delivered to my door.

The Meeting Bell Medium : Pen and Ink On Bristol Board Size : 11" x 15" Year illustration was completed : 1987 This illustration was part of a collection of pen and ink rendering i did for a christian mission, for their pamphlet that was published to inform the community, surrounding churches, and the military post near by, of the services they offered, and about their ranch. Their main ministry is to the military service personnel and their families. They offer a weekly dinner followed by a Bible study. They offer a place where service personnel could spend the weekend at the ranch for free, with meals included. There would also be activities they could partake in , such as going to concerts, going to amusement parks, visiting national park for picnics and hiking. The ranch holds retreat for military personnel who are in training, who want to learn about the Bible , and enjoy good home cooked food, rest, and out door recreation in the country. This ministry also lends it's facilities too near by churches, and to the military chaplaincy, for luncheons. This ministry is a great work of God, share God's word, and love through hospitality. About the bell. I call this illustration the meeting bell, because it sat right out side the activity center, and when ever a retreat was being held, the bell was use to let the guess know when a meal was being served, or a Bible study was about to begin. If you study the bell you can tell that at one time it must have been housed in some kind of church or fire house, by the big wheel attached to it's side, so it can be rung by a rope. Then when it found it's self at the ranch , they must have had a arm clacker manufactured, To strike the bell to sound.

Last spring we had nineteen canaries. I must tell you, once and for all, that canaries are very virulent birds. It starts with the mother bird and the father bird. They have babies. And before the babies get a single feather on their bodies they have to leave home and the father bird sings again and the mother bird lays new eggs. Bought a portable watercolor at walmart and decided to sketch and try it out in class

I love working with this pencil. Although it is like a watercolor pencil, the tone is much more graphite like and it disolves nicely once I start using a brush. Using more or less water creates nice value range. I'm definitely a fan of this pencil--also comes in a medium and dark wash.

Still working on my lines but overall pretty happy with how this turned out. Thoughts/suggestions more than welcome!

A stylish woman pedals her way through town on a vintage cargo bike, flaunting her sleek black beret and boots. Her loyal passengers, a fabulously fluffy poodle and a dapper little bulldog sporting a pink scarf. The poodle, clearly the queen of the ride.

I crawled right up to Daddy's modelling mirror which stands on the floor by the box of plaster. A great big black creature was creeping towards me. I got cautious and stood still. The creature was shapeless. It was one of those creatures that can spread itself out and creep under the furniture or turn into a black fog that gets thicker and thicker until it is quite sticky and gets all around you and fastens itself to you. I let the creature get a little closer and put its hand out. The hand crept along the floor and then was pulled back suddenly. The creature came even closer. I turned the key and waited. After a while the door opened of its own accord, very slowly as if someone inside the wardrobe was forcing it. And then the black tulle skirt poured forth and the door stood still. I did the same thing several times. Going through a mental health journey, and created this fella. This is not the complete image, he will have bat wings and devil horns. I just hit a small wall with some of the layers. But I will have the picture complete when I can. I finally started drawing again after weeks of depression. So excited to see where this fella goes.

Unexpected Visitor This color sketch was done for a pumpkin carving design I did for the Chadds Ford Historical Society Great Pumpkin Carving contest. The sketch is a a lot more impressive then what you can see here ,unfortunately when the picture was scanned ,The Kinkos sale person chopped half of the image that shows the hands, one point at you, and the other holding the sickle,and the flowing rope hanging off the Grim Reaper's arms. I spent a couple of week just studying skeleton to do this sketch. I was Inspire to do this design by the thought that came across my mine about death. We are like helpless babies playing Peek A Boo when it come to our knowledge of the time death will drop by to pick us off. Some people who are terminally ill and are told by the doctor they have only a couple of days to live,must feel like the Grim Reaper is sitting right in front of them with his face hidden behind his hands, and when you lest expected he opens his hand like to great door turning on their hinges to open up to reveal him sticks his face in their's and shrieking ,"Peek A Boo," and followed by a hideous laugh . In fact, she [Mummy] said after a while, we have gone into hibernation. Nobody can get in any longer and no one can get out! I looked carefully at her and understood that we were saved. At last we were absolutely safe and protected. This menacing snow had hidden us inside in the warm for ever and we didn't have to worry a bit about what went on there outside. I was filled with enormous relief, and I shouted, I love you I LOVE YOU, and took all the cushions and threw them at her and laughed and shouted and Mummy threw them all back and in the end we were lying on the floor just laughing. Then we began our underground life. We walked around in our nighties and did nothing. Mummy didn't draw. We were bears with pine needles in our stomachs and anyone who dared come near our winter lair was torn to pieces. We were lavish with the wood, and threw log after log on to the fire until it roared. Sometimes we growled. I wanted to measure how far I have come. In 2023 I drew Voxs screen, well today I redrew it and got this as a result. I'm not one to feel a sense of pride, but damn I'm feeling proud. I have done a lot of self taught with my art and using Ipad and procreate. I did take a art class in college which was basic sketching. I have watched videos, listened to others and just observed to get where I am. I don't know if my art will take me anywhere. But what I do know is, its my outlet, my vent, my escape.

A young woman tossed into a strange world in an attempt to prevent harm to hers, discovers she is connected to it in ways she never imagined. Violet is declared to be a new Archfey Queen and budding goddess of Magic. Having been raised in a world where magic was thought to be an archaic belief, to suddenly being it’s master throughout the eons was needless to say, a terrible shock.

This is my first full landscape project that I painted for a skillshare course. It was frustrating at times but I really enjoyed working through the multiple steps of this painting. I wanted to see what I could do it I pushed myself and I am happy with the final painting. I need to focus some more study on trees in the future, I like how the foreground tree came out, the forest edge was much more difficult. I was going through some old sketch books that marked 2024. I had completely forgotten about this guy. I did change his look a little. I added hair to him and took his horns off. But I had created him to be my demon or devil. I thought he had died, no he was just waiting.

Ladies and Gents, I present....Slater! My newest character that I brought back to life. Although this was not his original design, but I think I dig it. Slater is an alien species (species not identified yet) so therefore hence why his ears look like that. Slater is charismatic, sly, generally laid back but unfortunately a womanizer. But there is one....one who is constantly rejecting him and keeping him at arms length. She will be introduced at a later time, I'm still working on her design. I have so many plans for this guy.
