I was fortunate enough to to take my sketchbook class to observe medical students dissect donor cadavers. These donors gave there bodies to science to further our knowledge of the human anatomy and to train our future doctors. We worked alongside the med students and anatomy fellows. It was a humbling and fascinating experience.
You've captured this so beautifully. I especially like the details of the second image and the one with the doctors hovering over the body in the third drawing. Sounds like an amazing experience, not sure I have the stomach for it though.
These are a few random pieces from the last few weeks.

Today’s adventure took us to the KC City Market to sketch. We rode the streetcar to have lunch and draw. These are my sketches for the day.

Adobe just released a new drawing and painting app Fresco for the iPad. Here are few experimental images. I have to say I am impressed with the natural media brushes and the interface.

Thanks so much! It was an amazing experience on so many levels. I think my students found it to be as well. I look forward to doing it again. @punka

very cool, and the artwork is worthy of "heavy metal" or "aeon flux". medical school anatomy, but not gross at all ;-p

Thanks! Much appreciated, I grew up with heavy metal and loved aeon flux! @alvinjfrazier
