@Obsidian I think you might be right, ^_^. I love to see how many different mediums you try, your are like just like me multi creative. I too love to try everything to find out what I really love. For me it was always colored pencils, but since 2009 also paint, mostly Acrylics and watercolor. And the last few years I just LOVE making my own journals.
@Riya I really like to try new things in art and explore my style. Every time I see a new medium I really want to try it, and usually do :)
I am still developing and growing as an artist and find out what I want to create and how. Hopefully I will find out at the right time
@Obsidian That is what I discovered, things come at the right moment, not sooner, not later. I still try to use new mediums, techniques etc, but the one thing I use to pick up the first, or look at the first in art shops is colored pencils. I LOVE my Berol Karismas, but I start to run out of my fav colors and Berol stoped making them in 2005. I still have all the colors, (when I overheard this in the art shop I just bought every time I visited some pencils, so in the end I had two complete sets before the shop run out of them) but my fav color pencil is not even 1 inch, ^_^. So now I am looking for the best replacement.
And making journals is even more important since I was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2017, that really helped me to overcome this, heal and recover.
@Riya wow I wish you health and blessings!! This a strong story. Art really do helps me to deal with thing that happen in my life.
Beside, there arw a lot of nice colored pencil! I personally like caran d'ache but I heard a lot of good things about faber castell's Plychromos
