Can we talk about the "acid mine drainage" a little more? What IS this? Is it going to eat through the paper?

@Super Starling! Acid mine drainage is what happens from coal mining. Here's an article about it from a stream restoration non-profit that cleans up the mess: https://www.streamrestorationinc.org/learn-more/. Iron oxide and magnesium oxide is extracted from the water and sold to artists for re-use as food-safe pigments for pottery glazes, tints for cement and brick, textures for paint, or tie-dye for fabric. The iron oxide isn't acidic; it's just the pigment that was extracted from the (often) acidic water.
