Holbein watercolors and Noodlers 41 Brown ink on 6"x8" Strathmore mixed-media paper. Drawn with a Pilot Custom 823 loaded with an extra-fine nib.
It is like mini diorama. Very intriguing work!!
I hope it's not your experience but the plot you've chosen is a real good idea. An arbitrary act , I think?
junkyardsam - you should totally serialize this mini-diorama look!
@hugo Haha, thanks. That's a good idea! It always makes art "bigger" to explore a concept through a series of images!
@Chrisho Sometimes I "drive around" in Google Maps looking for inspiration... exploring strange faraway places I'll probably never get to visit. This one was inspired by some strange interaction I encountered in Google Maps!

"Floaty Boat Waves In" -- Another WIP detail shot. You can see the magic of Rebelle in these close up shots... bringing the fountain penned ink to life with color.
This was my first drawing for the Graham's Up the Tree book. I used my most trusted pen: Metal Pilot Falcon, Soft Extra Fine.
Sometimes just a spot of color keeps things light, not overworked. And red.
I'm not sure how this happened,
And neither is this peep:
A beach vacation for his wife
That he bought on the cheap.
He wanted to surprise her,
So this is what he got.
Turns out his wife prefers a beach
With water over not.
