These are various sketches I've done recently. I decided to buy a sketchbook through the Sketchbook Project at the Brooklyn Art Library, and these are a few of the drawings in there. Not sure when it'll get digitized, but you could always check it out when it does.

    Your work is very expressive. That's something want to work on - rather than just replicating (as best I can) what I see.

    @JGale Thank you! Maybe this sounds cheesy, but art is really how I get my emotions out. I find it hard to put all the chaos in my head into words, or even sit with my feelings. If I feel a certain way, I usually see it as a drawing or an idea for one, and I just go for it.

"Untitled," 8×10, Scratchboard: I think it's become evident that I enjoy making portraits no matter what the medium is. I still find it fascinating how much eyes can say, and they can usually fill in the gaps where words fail. I took a chance using Scratchboard, but I think it worked out, I'm pleased with it. I suppose this is a new member of the Black and White Portrait Club :)

I can't believe October is already here, and it's startling how fast time is moving. I shouldn't be up this late, but I wanted to make some art, especially given how today has been (8-3:15 'in school,' 3:15-10pm doing homework). The honest answer is I just feel down. I can usually phrase things better but my brain is fried. Everything is non-stop, the time I have to breathe seems to get shorter. Anyway, it's 11pm, I should get to bed.
