@zom18 Thank you! To make it, I started with a pencil under drawing and then added some color with mixed-brand alcohol based ink markers and Stabilo felt tip pens for some detail. Then, because I don't have a big enough range of pastels and neutrals in my marker collection, I scanned the drawing and finished coloring in Photoshop. Sorry, that's probably a longer answer than you were looking for! TLDR: pencil, marker, felt tip pen, and digital.

All you work is amazing.

@zom18 I find that as long as you plan your fields of color and fully saturate the paper when you're filling in big areas and individual shapes, you can get a look very similar to watercolor that's way faster and with zero drying time! The downside: they are expensive. Copics are refillable and the nibs are replaceable, but they're a precious $6 each. I bought a very cheap knockoff brand marker set and I'm slowly supplementing and replacing them with the good stuff. :)

@zom18 My 'secret', if I have one, I guess, is that I don't use marker paper or bristol or anything that discourages bleeding. I use regular drawing paper, mixed media, or watercolor paper. In this case, since I want the marker to behave more like watercolor, bleeding and blending together on the paper instead of forming a really precise line, I use the "wrong" paper. That's also why all of the detail is done with fine point felt tip pens - those are designed to stay nice and precise on regular paper without bleeding. So essentially I use the markers to get big blended and shaded washes of color over everything, careful where I let the marker bleed. Then the felt tip pens are like the icing for adding detail and the the very darkest darks. Thanks for asking me these questions! It's strange how you never think about why you do the things the way you do until someone else asks! :)
