You inspire me as few others do! I just started my first pen & ink portrait — of my royal poodle — because of you! May I ask if you use any white ink for those fine white details (seen more in other of your works), or are they all the white of the paper (I should have such control!)?

@wolfenbear Hi Carolanne. Such a lovely message, thank you, I'm really touched. I only use black fine liners. I use very small ones, 0.03 and 0.05. I dony always work downwards, sometimes to get the effect I want I work an area then work upwards underneath it if that makes sense! I would defibately get yourself a blank piece if paper and experiment with loads of different lines shapes, strokes, filling in, it really helps. Any questions, just ask. Julia
