Yeah, that pencil thing was the way to speed up the winding process. I remember when cassettes were the cutting edge of the audio world. Man, things move along quickly.
It's a Smashing Pumpkin Mixtape from End of the 90ties. Casette was already on the descending branch, but my car was to old for use of CDs, so I recorded it with my sony double cassette deck, which I got on my 18th birthday. ("1979" is the Smashing Pumpkins' is one of the highest-charting singles of that band)
Thanks for finding the tape. I thought it was lost for ever.
Hahaa! Haven't gone too deep with Smashing Pumpkins but love that song. It's one of those songs that don't get worn out no matter how much you listen to it. But I am probably older than you so I can guarantee that 1979 was not on that 1979 mix tape. Man I miss being able to make mixtapes and give them to friends. The newer technology is great and all, but it's missing something.
This was a morning doodle that took me into the afternoon. It’s so hard to stop!

Morning sketch. So I was waiting for a go ahead on a 20 illo project. One of the illustrations in the project is a pair of “Chucks” so in the meantime I did a much crazier than they will be wanting version. Sometimes you just have to please yourself without all the boundaries.

I think I’m becoming obsessed with the whole rabbit hole thing.

I'm going to try to remember Throw Back Thursday. It's fun for me to go back and try to remember what was going on in my mind that made me doodle what I doodled on that day.

So simple you can use a pencil to get it all back together but use still need the player.
