I have been participating in Lauren Hom’s #HOMwork challenges via Instagram. This weeks challenge was to draw the same letter 16 ways. I drew cats instead. I may come back to the whole lettering thing at some point!
My final entry for Stage 3 of the doodle addicts challenge! I have loved doing these challenges. They have not only got me drawing things I wouldn't have considered off my own back, but they have brought me out of my comfort zone too. Drawing steam is harder than I thought!!!
'Oh how wonderful life would be, if I had my own little house in a tree!' This one was created for the Urban Explorer Challenge and I loved every minute of it! As a lover of the natural environment I had to draw on where my heart lies so a treehouse seemed a fitting response!

Inktober 2019 piece, unfortunately have not completed yet, still going....
I really enjoyed the Inktober challenge and this was my favorite drawing from the month. Been trying white ink for a new challenge, on grey toned paper. I've also challenged myself to draw more animals, so that's been fun. I can't remember drawing an elephant before, but my joke was that this one is ready for Coachella!
As a long time meditator I had specific experiences during meditation that I’ve tried to convey visually (often unsuccessfully). In this drawing the suggestion of birth or rebirth is a recurring theme in my work. Symbolically it refers to growth, transformation and expanded self-awareness. This piece is just a visual representation of this journey.
Sketch with colored pencils.
