Going into the unknown, You are not alone
This is a throwback to the kind of work I was making at the end of the fall last year. Sometimes I just can’t help it but I find myself returning to surrealist works every now and then. This piece is a combination of various techniques: collage, filters, watercolors, ink, drawing and a vector. For this piece I used a lot of my old artwork and pieced these pieces together then repainted and reworked them until I got the effect I wanted. My favorite technique is to paint over drawings With layers of different colors then removing some of the colors with a scratchy digital brush. Interesting effects begin to happen. In the end I find that I’m more interested in the formal qualities of a piece than the content. It is what it is.

I wanted to give something special to mom. So I drew her zodiac sign in her journal
There is a theory that Universe is a consciousness. To find what is out there we have to find what is in our own consciousness. So thats a zoomed in eye and the interstellar spaceship going in the space that exist within us.
Inktense blocks. This is one of a whole series of portraits I've done of people's selfies with a galaxy background. My goal with the series is to show just how beautiful and powerful and Universal selfies are. Selfies are a valuable tool in self-love and self-acceptance. We take photos of all the things we love, but so often leave ourselves out. We all struggle to accept our own skins, and often give up, but as Carl Sagan said, "We are made of starstuff," and we are all worth photographing.
Lost two babies in less than a year... tough life, but they are bright stars in the sky.
