Jennifer Hello, my name is Jennifer,
and I'm a doodle addict.
Vienna, Austria

Hello! Thanks for dropping by. My birthplace is Australia but I now call Vienna, Austria my home. Since living here I have become inspired to make art again after 30 years of not picking up a pencil or paintbrush. It is like learning to walk again!

I specialize in doodles, pen and ink, pencil drawing, watercolour.

Conception

After experiencing a DNA surprise/shock earlier in the year I needed to express my feelings in my artwork. Conception is a representation of how random life can be. A sence of belonging yet somehow not belonging and finally being able to link together those aspects of myself.

This came out of nowhere. Using coloured pencils, Zig Art and Graphic twins, watercolours, Micron fineliners. Well, everything I had at the time!

An exercise in light, shade and tones.

This was an exercise that I think worked out very well and motivated me to keep going.

Lucky Penny

This is based on a couple of lino cut prints, acrylic paint and gold ink. I have rediscovered my love of lino cut printing after many years and hope to do much more of it.

Lino cut design taken from my surroundings.

This is the second lino cut print I made using motifs from my surroundings here in Vienna, Austria. I enjoyed learning this when I was in Art College in Australia back in the day and my passion is now re emerging for it.
