I specialize in digital art, drawing, fine art, painting.
Abstract Self portrait.
Color, figure, design
Since I no longer have access to a life drawing class I continue to use some old figure sketches which I import into my digital compositions. From this point I begin to reshape the Visual environment for this nude figure. I posted the original pencil sketch last year on doodle Addicts.
I needed a break from the color compositions I’ve been working on these past few weeks. This is a quick digital sketch.
I used an old drawing and digitized it for this digital painting/collage. It is layered with old non-objective painting of mine and pattern I created with this software. I repainted and added textural elements to the layered collage.
I’m still playing with two dimensional space. Also experimenting with color, flat shapes, pattern and other compositional elements.
Color exploration. I used an old figure drawing which I repainted digitally.
This is an abstract experimental piece. I’m playing with flat shapes and colors and composing within a square space.
Playing with plant and figure shapes . . . And color blocks
Figure and landscape. I used an old charcoal Figure drawing and imported it into my digital painting and played with a variety of ideas. This is a better rendition of a previous piece called “cords that bind us” So . . . I suppose one can say it is another version of the same artwork
This is a layered collage made of old pieces of my artwork: a current portrait drawing, An old abstract painting for the background which I layered several times over itself. I allowed transparencies to occur, Then modified colors. I painted over much of the abstract parts by adding textural elements. I experimented with the piece until I felt It was done.
Playing with color, shape and line.
In the past I used to paint non-objectively and always enjoyed the freedom it allowed to explore color and abstract forms and markings. This piece is an attempt to re-introduce some of the color blocks I used to use. This artwork is still representational and figurative because I'm not ready to drop reference to the human form just yet.
This is a digital drawing and painting . Playing with color patches, transparencies and drawing.
I’m taking a single image and making several variations. It’s a fun way to pass the time.
I often cannabalize my own paintings and drawings, both traditional and digital. I then collage them into new pieces that become variations of the original.
Hoping that 2020 will be a year that many will bloom and grow with love.
Portrait drawing. Drew this with PROCREATE.
I often dream about flying but rarely can take flight. Most of the time I’m earth bound by some manner.
