Anubis and his box of threads. I am going through the wiki list of mythological hybrid creatures and imagining their lives and what they might be like and what they might like to do. It's been fun - sometimes; some of the myths are dark and sad.

Keep thinking about a story about Kismet (one of my cats) and Rocky (a friends dog I just met). I don’t know what they would both do in it, but there would be much shivering and tail wagging. Ps. Kismet is not fat. She is actually very svelte. "There is," said the marzipan pig, "such sweetness in me!" "The Marzipan Pig" by Russell Hoban is one of my favorite books. During the pandemic, @pgoedi from @communitybookstore read it and I drew it. Found it again and wanted to share it. This makes me want to draw live again. It is such a nerve racking thing and so fun!

Listening to Megumi Nagai talk and getting inspired. It was a wonderful show! It's up until June.

Random doodle. This one looks like Princess Donut from Dungeon Crawler Carl. This book is the Venn diagram of the books that all of us loved. Super fun.

M is for Masstransitscope. Masstransitscope is a zooetrope made by Bill Brand in 80s. Now restored and enjoyed on the B line going from Brooklyn to Manhattan. It never fails to make me happy.

R is for ratty. Saw the tailless rat again. Thanks to the subway tardiness I got to watch for a while. Very entertaining!

Morning play. Watercolor paper tests with random colors. Ink on top to make each into a drawing. It was harder than usual today. Haven't done thise exercise in too long.
