Lifelong illustrator/cartoonist/artist wannabe. Haven't kept up with drawing for many years and now rediscovered how much I was missing. Most new stuff is 100% pen and ink on heavy white cardstock.
I am really happy with this drawing as I am trying my best to mimic Stephen Gammell's style, who is the artist for the popular books "Scary Stories to tell in the dark" for some reason his type of art has always astounded me and without any interviews I am left at trying to figure out his technique through trial and error. This is probably my most successful attempt yet. Would you like to know my secret ingredients?

its been a while. i've been working on a gift for the last month. i need permission to post that picture because its a friends baby. its my best drawing yet. hopefully i can post. here is my latest project. this is a picture of my father before he headed to the US.
Birds or Fish? is created with markers on Master's Touch 46lb marker paper. Influenced in part by Kandinsky, I laid down the color splotches before using the black marker for the birds/fish.
