Jon Carling's Inky Critters

Jon Carling's Inky Critters

Jon Carling has posted a ton of his drawings to Doodle Addicts that leave me in a constant hurry to see more! I'm really diggin' the combination of black ink and toned paper that perfectly complements his illustration style. It's easy to appreciate the different techniques he uses to shade his human-like animals, creating short, heavy scribbles and long flowing lines that fall together to create dramatic compositions. Follow him on Doodle Addicts to see even more hand-drawn mystical creatures!

Oh, I've followed your work for years Mr. Carling. This is a nice curated body of work! Your art always gives me a feeling when I look at it... I would say I should listen to nature sounds when I look at your art, but looking at your art makes me imagine those sounds so I don't need to. You have a recognizable style I would notice a mile away... and there's nothing else quite like it. Great feature!
