Chromostereopsis exercise

This is digital piece that was done on my wacom tablet. It was a submission for Risolve Printing. They're a risograph printer based in Lincoln University, PA. The finished riso came out fantastic. I just wanted to share the digital piece because it was one of my first in many experiments in Chromostereopsis. Chromostereopsis is the visual effect that occurs when 2 colors from opposite sides of the color spectrum are put right next to each other. It differentiates from person to person since we all perceive colors differently. This is a fascinating exercise that I will for sure post more of.

When I read the first book of the "Outlander"-Series by Diana Gabaldon, I was really inspired by the idea of travelling in time through places like Stonhenge. This is what it looks like in my head.

I always tell students to start a project with quick sketches to develop a shape language. Plus research, then you can start to generate ideas. This is one of who knows how many small sketches I'll do to start this project. #ideation #designsketches #pilo
