Seals and clocks = an intriguing combo I’d say.

I completed a variety of cats for Catober 2020. From those I created this pattern. My favorite cat is Zoro.

Just wanted to draw something in between sessions working on Finals. Done in Photoshop CC 2020 with a Noise brush which works nicely like charcoal which I'm used to.

Meet Dr. Lorna Breen. She was in the trenches of the front line inside the New York hot zone during the first wave of the pandemic. She saw the massive influx of patients she knew she could not save (29,000 deaths reported in April, 2020). She contracted the virus and after recuperating, went straight back to work. A week and a half later, the hospital sent her home. Her family intervened to bring her back home to Charlottesville, Virginia. During her visit with her family, she seemed “detached.” She passed away April 26, 2020 at the UVA University Hospital in Charlottesville from self-inflicted wounds. Whenever I’m channel surfing, I often find myself stumbling into a film midway through it’s running time, and tend to stick around if there’s elements that pique my curiosity and just catch my eye etc. My Girl 2, of all films, was one of them this time around. A line about “barbaric customs” or roundabouts prompted me to pick up my drawing kit...and here we are!

Let me tell you a story about printing a kind of cheesy christmas card. A piece of paper to say "Merry Christmas" and "Happy Holidays". To deliver "Hugs and Kisses" you won't be able to give on Christmas in Fuck2020. To say "I miss you" and "See you soon". Linoprint using edge trim. December, 2020.

Reflecting on the current pandemic, only to realise things this time last year gave plenty of us something to gripe about too... How times seemed simpler then.

Keeping things together and setting records straight.

After living through this pandemic this art summarizes my true feelings

Sketching at the Academy (California Academy of Science) with my five year old. This was so fun. There was so much movement that he actually focused on his own sketchbook for long enough for me to get one in. Usually, he's done by the time I put the clips on my book! The Academy and all museums are closed again with SF preemptively joining the rest of the state in the extended stay at home order this past Sunday 12/6/2020. Grateful we got to go several times while it was open.

Narwhals, washi tape, patterns galore...or as I like to call it, a standard Friday night.

The bird vs bird are on both trees. They're about to fight, but they actually didn't. Instead they had a normal day.

This little book had several tiny squares/rectangles per page. At first I didn't know how to fill it (2017). Eventually I sketched trees, scenes, birds, animals I'd seen during a days walk. It accidentally became a diary of seasons! Not all my art is nature sketching, I'm a watercolor artist as well. But line and pen drawing, halftone is what I've been up to for a while.

I am trying to learn how to draw from my imagination and without reference, so I started a series of fish illustrations to practice this.

The prompt word toward the end of October- ominous. Ravens are known to bring ominous news! Although that may be influenced from Game of Thrones (I miss that show!), 'Dark wings, dark words", as Old Nan used to say!
